{"id":45,"date":"2019-11-19T09:10:53","date_gmt":"2019-11-19T09:10:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/demo.themeisle.com\/neve-blogger\/?p=45"},"modified":"2021-05-08T23:53:44","modified_gmt":"2021-05-08T21:53:44","slug":"imputernicire-si-participare-cetatenie-la-firul-ierbii-condusa-de-femei-rome","status":"publish","type":"portfolio","link":"https:\/\/e-romnja.ro\/en\/project\/imputernicire-si-participare-cetatenie-la-firul-ierbii-condusa-de-femei-rome\/","title":{"rendered":"Empowerment and participation: grassroots democracy by Roma women"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Empowerment and participation: grassroots democracy by Roma women<\/em> is the third strategic program funded by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hdl.fi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Helsinki Deaconess Institute\u2019s support.<\/a> in 2015-2020.<\/p>\n<p>The project is implemented in <b>Valea Seac\u0103<\/b> (Bac\u0103u) community and has the following objectives:<\/p>\n<p>\u2192 development and consolidation of Roma girls\/women' groups to increase access to health services and education and create local mechanisms of sisterhood between women in the absence of support for violent situations.<br \/>\n\u2192 training with authorities on issues affecting the lives of Roma girls\/women in the community;<br \/>\n\u2192 local and national advocacy actions to combat racism, sexism, and classism in public institutions.<\/p>\n<p>The program has developed several local campaigns, support services for girls\/women, legal advice, therapeutic support for victims of sexual violence, and actions to enhance our Roma identity.<\/p>\n<p>Over time, the program has developed several social services with humanity. Girls and women have access to contraception, child-rearing, childcare, respect, and dignity in relation to men in the community and local authorities.<\/p>\n<p>The program developed the first initiative group for young women and men in the community who wanted to replicate the model, followed by women in the community and their mothers.<\/p>\n<p>In the community, we have established a<b> Roma Women's Office <\/b>where the community as a whole gathers for both community actions and training, support, and non-formal education activities.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1593\" src=\"https:\/\/e-romnja.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/interv-comunit-6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1440\" height=\"960\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1581 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/e-romnja.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/57591555_372202836969208_6022091130257014784_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1212\" height=\"816\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1582 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/e-romnja.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/72068659_2406167076332356_191155731485949952_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1222\" height=\"815\" \/><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00cemputernicire \u0219i participare: cet\u0103\u021benie la firul ierbii condus\u0103 de femei rome (Empowerment and Participation: Grassroots Democracy by Roma Women) este cel de-al treilea program strategic finan\u021bat de Helsinki Deaconess Institute \u00een perioada 2015 &#8211; 2020.
