{"id":1654,"date":"2021-04-16T12:31:25","date_gmt":"2021-04-16T10:31:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/e-romnja.ro\/?p=1654"},"modified":"2021-05-31T20:39:05","modified_gmt":"2021-05-31T18:39:05","slug":"teatru-comunitar-scrie-ti-povestea","status":"publish","type":"portfolio","link":"https:\/\/e-romnja.ro\/en\/project\/teatru-comunitar-scrie-ti-povestea\/","title":{"rendered":"Theater Community project - Write your own story"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Theater Community project - Write your own story funded by AFCN, with the thematic area THEATER: EDUCATION THROUGH CULTURE session II was a cultural education project aimed at facilitating access to culture for Roma girls and boys from the Roma communities in Mizil and Valea Seac\u0103, as well as opening new perspectives and opportunities for young people in the two marginalized communities. In this project, local workshops, discussions were organized, as well as a theater play on how the absence of information about sexual education affects Roma teenagers in Romania.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The discourse and the representation of this subject through the Romanian press justify \u2018the Roma cultural model\u2019 far from what the Roma culture means, associating the lack of sexual education with Roma ethnicity only. On the other hand, the education system does not address stereotypes from the perspective of girls\/boys, while it strengthens \u201ccultural arguments,\u201d causing inequalities in education. In other words, <b>the lack of intervention in the system perpetuates the disparity between girls and boys.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1799\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1799\" style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1799\" src=\"https:\/\/e-romnja.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/kU1UlSIH-piesa_teatru_eromnja-s-38.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1799\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">foto: Eli Driu<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The theater play <b>KeresTikTok?<\/b> (<i>Do you want Tiktok?)<\/i>carried out within the project and broadcasted online represents the stories of three young Roma girls and a young Roma boy on marriage decisions, virginity pressure, the influence of religion, parents, and community, and lack of institutional support for school sex education. The play was played by two young Roma actresses (Bianca Mihai and Nicoleta Ghi\u021b\u0103) and a well-known actor Raj-Alexandru Udrea.
